The likes of Shankar and Mani Ratnam have really made South Cinema proud with their big ventures that catered almost every grade in the society. Commercial and art flicks coming from their books are simply never seen before entertainment for us.
Joining them, another stunning director A R Murugudoss is also striking big these days. Already his blockbusters like Ghajini and Tupaki are re-made in Bollywood and there too they have entered 100 Cr club. Speaking about success, Murugdoss says, ‘Anytime, if we have proper commercial elements packed into a screenplay backed content, then success will be on our side’. Coming on the future of Indian cinema, he said, ‘Our cinema is very close to Hollywood now, and we can beat it even. We many make multi-crore war films like Hollywood, but our movies made on intelligence are surely going to stun them’.
