Dreaded dacoit Veerappan is back on big screen. Titled as ‘Veerappan’ the movie is a dubbed version of Tamil and Kannada bilingual film ‘Vana Yuddham’ (‘Attahasa’ in Kannada) which released earlier in the year. AMR Krishna directs the flick which has Kishore playing the title role. Arjun, Vijayalakshmi, Lakshmi Rai, Ravi Kale etc are playing important roles in the film.

‘Veerappan’ deals with the final chapter of the dacoit where he kidnapped the Kannada cinema legend Dr. Rajkumar and subsequently him being nabbed and killed by the police. The film when released earlier this year in Kannada ran into many controversies but was finally successful at the box office. We will have to see if the Telugu version succeeds at the box office or not?
