Superstar Mahesh Babu’s films usually clock record TRP ratings. Shockingly, his last film Brahmotsavam which was a debacle at box office was a failure at small screens too as it got just 7.52 rating.
Bichagadu tops TRP’s this year with 18.75 rating, wherein Sardaar Gabbar Singh took second slot with 15.24. Sai Dharam Tej’s Supreme and Ram’s Nenu Sailaja are ahead of NTR’s Nannaku Prematho (12.23) with TRP’s of 14.79 and 12.37 respectively.
ZEE TV shelled out Rs 11.20 crores to snap satellite rights of Brahmotsavam. The deal which was highest for Mahesh Babu was closed few days prior to the film’s outing. But, the film’s box office fate affected its television premiere badly.
In fact, Brahmotsavam is one of biggest disappointers for Mahesh Babu and his fans. Even, small screen audience didn’t show much interest to watch the film and TRP rating for the film’s TV premiere is evident of the fact.
Interestingly, NTR’s Nannaku Prematho which was telecasted during dussehra received average TRP. The Sukumar directed film which was a runaway hit at box office has stood at 5th in this year’s top TRP getters.
