The Hyderabad High Court on Monday quashed the plea filed by TRS nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson seeking the transfer of petition filed by Cash-for-Vote Accused Jerusalem Mathaiah to an other bench. Stating that Stephenson’s petition is misleading, The Bench questioned why action shouldn’t be taken against him as per Section 14 of Indian Penal Code and directed the cops to file a case against him.

Earlier, Jerusalem Mathaiah who is Accused No.4 in Cash-for-Vote scam approached High Court to quash his name from the First Information Report (FIR) filed based on the complaint registered by Stephenson. Accepting his petition, High Court stayed the arrest of Mathaiah till June 24th.

In response, Elvis Stephenson moved a criminal miscellaneous application in High Court seeking a new judge to hear the quash petition filed by Mathaiah on grounds that there is every possibility of his complaint getting rejected. Today, The Nominated MLA received a huge setback in the High Court.
