Two-term CM for undivided AP and successor state CM-designate is all set to take oath as the first Chief Minister for new Andhra Pradesh on June 8. Surpassing everyone’s expectations and taking many by surprise, Naidu’s swearing in ceremony has been fixed in Guntur.
Chandra Babu, who served as CM for undivided AP during 1995 to 2004, holds special record for being CM for long term- 9 years- in the history of AP. Babu is known as ‘Hitech Babu’, after establishing Hitech City and making Hyderabad as Cyber city. Babu’s administration has been revered as Golden Era for introducing Government initiatives like “Jai Janmabhoomi”, “Clean City, Green City”, “Dwakra Mahila”, “Rytu Bazaar” (To curb Dalari system and to benefit farmers), “Neeru Meeru” (for improvement of ground-level water), “Water Shed Programmes” (Storing Rain water and using it for irrigation), creating several job opportunities and employment for youth. Then US President Bill Clinton’s visit to Hyderabad hit world headlines and thus Hyderabad got due recognition in global platform. He is coming back to power after 10 years with recent elections giving clear mandate for him.
During 2014 elections, Babu has promised to waive crop loans for farmers, and loans of women self-help groups. Soon after winning with full majority at State and Centre, Chandra Babu ensured to people that he would fulfill all the poll promises. Seemandhra is pinning all its hopes on one man- Chandra Babu Naidu- to bring back Golden Era, popularly known as Swarnandhra
