Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu has a vision for the new state of Andhra Pradesh and he is working hard to translate his vision, dreams into reality. After coining new names like Swarnandhra and Ananda Andhra Pradesh, Babu has coined yet another name. This time, it’s in English. He wants AP to be known as the “Sunrise Country”- State with high-technology. Similar to Kerala, popular as “Gods own Country”, Naidu wants AP to be known as Sunrise Country- destination for all the industries.
Babu said his government will be coming out with investor-friendly policy. The new industrial policy integrates 11 sub-sectors like IT, tourism, textiles, biotechnology, livestock, horticulture, ports, fisheries etc. that will attract huge investment, create employment and raise nearly Rs 50,000 crore revenue per annum. “I brought Microsoft to Hyderabad and thereafter all MNCs followed. Andhra Pradesh too will soon have MNCs. Already industrialists from Singapore, Thailand and Japan have approached us to make investments in AP,” he said. Mr Naidu said the government’s focus will be on identifying growth engines and developing them.
