It is a known fact that June 2, 2014 was announced as the appointed day for both Telangana and residuary Andhra Pradesh two months back. It would officially mark the end of Andhra Pradesh as a state forever.
Now however there seems to be a change. Sources say that while Telangana will have June 2 as appointed day, Seemandhra will most likely have June 8th as appointed day and home ministry has reportedly agreed to this.
The TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu will be taking oath on June 8th as AP CM and hence sources say that Naidu has requested the union government to shift the appointed day to June 8th, which is also considered auspicious.
If indeed confirmed then June 8th will be the state formation day from next year for AP while Telangana will celebrate it on June 2nd. It is still not sure how much delight or excitement the authentic Telugu people have over this historic moment.
