An Innova Car which is heading towards Huzurnagar from Hyderabad caught up with fire at Janagama Trunk Road. Immediately, The driver ran from the spot leaving the vehicle at the same place. Locals who reached the spot tried to put off the fire in the engine. Much to their surprise, they found huge amount of cash in the engine and most of these Rs 500, Rs 1000 notes were burnt. Upon receiving the information, Police seized the vehicle and began search for the driver.
The Car has a MLA sticker and the name ‘Uttan Kumar Reddy’ on top of it. Now, it needs no brilliance to guess whom does the bulk cash (Rs 2.5 crore) belongs to! Yes, its none other than T-Congress Working President and Huzurnagar sitting MLA Uttan Kumar Reddy.
AP Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal ordered for a probe into the incident to find out the actual culprits. Police suspect the money was shifted for distributing to the voters on the polling day.
