After the TRS party took over the reins of Telangana state, two major news channels were stopped from telecasting their programs. They are TV9 and ABN-Andhrajyothy. While the former has taken a different stand, ABN has been taking a defiant approach in expressing their displeasure and protesting wherever possible.

Recently something like that happened but Information Minister KTR came up with his answer. While the allegation is that the TRS government has been responsible for the ban, KTR made it clear that the government has nothing to do with it and the concerned channel has to discuss the matter with MSOs.

He reminded that there are 600 channels throughout and how will the government be responsible if the telecast is stopped. Though KTR has made this statement amidst the presence of media and public, the insiders from media fraternity strongly believe the government did exert pressure to ensure the telecast is stopped.
