The Telangana Assembly witnessed an uproar with the ruling TRS and Opposition TDP opened a can of worms. While TDP leader and Kodangal MLA Revanth Reddy has issued a notice against IT and Panchayat Raj Minister K.T Rama Rao accusing him of flouting norms of Assembly, TRS came down heavily on Revanth and TDP. TRS demanded a apology from TDP and Revanth.
TRS alleged that Revanth Reddy has “belittled” TRS MP K. Kavitha and “women leaders”. However, TDP sharply retaliated and quashed them. With the war of words between TDP and TRS, the budget session lost its prominence and witnessed a din. It may be noted that earlier Revanth Reddy accused TRS MP Kavitha of listing her name twice in the Telangana Integrated Household Survey in his speech in the house on Tuesday which intensified the ongoing fued between rival parties.
All in all, the Assembly turned out to be a battle field on Wednesday. The situation is no different in Council as Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy took on TDP and alleged that TDP leaders have no role in Telangana movement.
