South Indian super star and Talaiver Rajinikanth has moved to the high court opposing the release and screening of a Bollywood film which has been named after him like “Main Hoon Rajinikanth’’ Rajinikanth Wednesday approached the Madras High Court seeking a stay on the release of Hindi film “Main Hoon Rajinikanth” which was used his name directly.

He said the film might defame him and upset his large fan base. Rajinikanth’s complaint said the producer has not approached him for consent or permission to use his super hero image to promote the new film. After hearing the petition, the Madras High Court has granted interim stay against the release of the movie. The case has been posted for hearing on 22 September. It is a very first time in Bollywood perhaps in India where a film is titled after Rajinikanth.

So, as there are chances of portraying the super star and his mannerisms in different way.And this perhaps is the very first incident where Rajinikanth approached the court for justice. Adithya Menon and Kavita Radheshyam playing the lead roles, “Main Hoon Rajinikanth”, directed by Faisal Saif, portrays the life of a funny and wicked CBI officer-cum-contract killer Rajinikanth Rao.
