It appears that the downfall of Yuvraj Rahul Gandhi looks certain. While he has been stamped as iron leg owing to the defeats of his party wherever he visited now it looks like he will experience the same in his own constituency Amethi. Political pundits say that walking around in Amethi barely gives them the feel of a VVIP constituency. It has to be seen this time whether neglect would cost the Gandhi Parivar its bastion and will the Congress candidate Rahul Gandhi lose from his family’s political bastion for three decades? Sources say that it is increasingly visible that Rahul may be in for a shock because any drastic fall in his 2009 winning margin of close to 370,000 votes may imply a devastating moral defeat for the leader who had described Amethi as his second home. At a time when BJP says Modi wave is sweeping the country, there is a hope especially after the recent rally of NaMo which was hugely successful there that BJP’s candidate Smriti Irani may give Rahul a really tough time and if luck favors her, then she may even trounce Rahul.
