Prakash Raj is now Grand father! Well, not off the reel but this is on the reel. Prakash is all set to play grand father for none other than Ram Charan in his forthcoming film Govindudu Andarivadele.Tamil actor Raj Kiran was zeroed in on for the role and Krishna Vamsi even shot few scenes with him. Due to unknown reasons, Vamsi & Co. have decided to replace Raj Kiran with Prakash Raj.
Earlier reports were rife that Superstar Krishna would be doing the same role but since Krishna opted out of donning makeup the role went to Raj Kiran and now subsequently to Prakash. Tipped to be a family entertainer set in village milieu, the film revolves around three generations. While Srikanth will be seen as Charan’s Babai in the film, there is a suspense on who will play Charan’s father role. Reports had that Jagapathi Babu would do the role but later he refused to do the role. Presently, the makers have announced a “break” for the shooting of Govindudu Andarivadele. Bandla Ganesh is producing the film.
Interestingly, Prakash earlier played father-in-law to Ram Charan in his debut Chirutha and worked on with him in many of his films. Prakash did play father role to Chiranjeevi in Mrugaraju.
