Is the tide turning slowly against YSRCP Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy? This may be too early to predict but after the party’s candidate for Machilipatnam Lok Sabha passed away recently throwing the selection into confusion, now sources say it is the turn of Vijayawada! Sources say that YSRCP’s bigwig Potluri Vara Prasad has given a shocker to Jagan by refusing to contest as the party candidate. Vijayawada is crucial in AP politics and any party which wins here is expected to rule the state.
Even opposition Congress and TDP were worried about the tremendous muscle power of this candidate especially his strong financial background and sources say Jagan’s refusal to entertain atleast one Kamma candidate among the seven assembly constituencies which falls under Vijayawada Lok Sabha is the reason. PVP is reportedly upset that after he said he doesn’t want to contest, Jagan didn’t even get back to him and he perceived this as an insult and sent a message to his followers not to expect him to contest from YSRCP!
