For the first time ever, actress-producer Lakshmi Manchu has posed with her new born baby for media’s cameras. In an exclusive interview given to popular Telugu daily Sakshi, Lakshmi shared her pains before begetting a child and also the joy the new-born has filled in Manchu family now.
Talking about her child born through surrogacy, Lakshmi revealed that after birth of her brother Vishnu’s twin daughters, the urge having her own child has increased. As she tried all medical options to conceive a child and failing to do so, Lakshmi knocked the doors of surrogacy. ‘When I spoke about surrogacy, Dad asked me to go ahead without any second thoughts. This support from family helped me go for the further step’, she adds, stressing how important it is to have family support.
On a concluding note, Lakshmi advised couples who are unfortunate to have a child through natural process to consider surrogacy as the option. In ‘Full Surrogacy’, a husband’s sperm is made to mate with wife’s egg and embryo is created in labs before transferred to a surrogate mom’s womb. Even Lakshmi and her husband Andy Srinivasan also went through same process.
