‘Me, as a villain? I think it’s not possible. Where are such interesting stories being written and such directors approaching me? Also, people might not dare to watch me as villain’, said senior hero Daggubati Venkatesh, who is all set to play Pawan’s devotee in the movie ‘Gopala Gopala’.
Venkatesh has indirectly ruled out the possibility of acting as a villain even in the near future. Sharing his thoughts about the kind of projects he wanted to do, he stated that directors are not coming up with author backed roles for me. ‘Young directors are writing scripts for younger heroes. If they could write scripts with me in mind, definitely I’m ready to experiment too’, he added.
Maybe it is not fair to compare Venky with Jagapathi Babu and ask him to turn game for villain roles. This Daggubati scion is surely in a league of own and films like ‘Drishyam’ will extend his career more. He still got the potential to pull the whole flick on his shoulders with his comedy timing and emotional performances. Let’s hope he gets a break with Drishyam, which is releasing this Friday.
