It’s a difficult situation for BJP-TDP cadres the other day with Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan cancelling a couple of his election campaign meets. Rather attending those meetings in person, Pawan gave his message via phone and only partially satisfied NDA cadres and his fans.
Taking up a whirlwind tour in Telangana region, Pawan Kalyan is busy campaigning for BJP-TDP these days. But on Saturday, the top hero refused to board a chopper provided by BJP. Apparently BJP is using two helicopters in our state for election campaigning and allotted one such to Pawan. However on Saturday the helicopter allotted to Pawan developed a snag and pilots requested him to board another one. But the option they provided is a single-engine helicopter, which hasn’t convinced Pawan on safety.
Turning down their request, Pawan made it clear that he will not board a single engine chopper, and travelled to his meetings by car thereby cancelling a few. In the recent days we have seen deaths of many politicians during election campaigns due to failure of helicopters. Indeed this is a good move by Pawan.
