Renowned scholar, writer, Advisor (Communications) to AP government Dr Parakala Prabhakar will soon be appointed as State Minister. If reports are anything to go by, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is keen on inducting Prabhakar into his cabinet. Given that Parakala is an intellectual and have wide knowledge across various spectrums, inducting Parakala into cabinet would make Naidu’s job easy.
Mr Naidu is contemplating to nominate Mr Prabhakar either in Governor’s Quota or in MLC quota and planning to rope him into his cabinet. Meanwhile, the schedule for MLC elections is to be released in February and elections will be held in March. It’s learnt that Parakala will be part of Naidu’s cabinet even before MLC elections.
Dr Parakala Prabhakar is not newcomer to politics. To all the late comers, he had sailed with BJP and PRP before joining Naidu’s team. He also served as the host for ETV’s popular talk show Pratidhwani. Prabhakar’s wife Ms Nirmala Sitharaman is currently serving as the Minister of State (MoS) for Ministry of Commerce & Industry in Narendra Modi’s cabinet. During Samaikyandhra movement, Prabhakar played pivotal role in supporting the cause of United Andhra Pradesh.
