For the first time ever in history, the state administration is all set to come at a standstill for one week from Sunday till June 1 as the government from all departments will be observing zero week as part of run-up to bifurcation on June 2.
Sources say that the entire official machinery will now be engaged for the “trial run administration” of new states, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh so that the bureaucracy can work in both states from June 2.
Employees who have been reportedly allotted on provisional basis will be reporting to their respective state offices. Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan reportedly directed the administration to halt all official transactions from May 25 to June 1 at the Secretariat.
This is including clearance of files and also payment of bills. At the secretariat, the employees and officials allotted to Telangana will be working from A,B,C and D blocks while those who have been allotted to Andhra Pradesh from H,J,K,L blocks.
