At a time when Lakshmi Parvathi was all set to take over the TDP, Chandrababu swiftly moved in and emerged as the leader saving the TDP in the process. That is the reason why the Kamma community continues to back him as CM for they know that had it not been for Chandrababu, the TDP would have disintegrated.

Yet, they continue to hold the Nandamuri family in high esteem for it was NTR who gave that community a life and made them super rich. So, Balayya and Harikrishna enjoy support although they are no match to Chandrababu. But the emergence of NTR Jr as a serious contender to Nara Lokesh altered the equations.

Before the elections, when Chandrababu was worried over the prospect of having to request NTR Jr to campaign for the TDP as Jagan looked like emerging winner, Pawan Kalyan emerged as a life-saver for Naidu.

It was indeed a master stroke by CBN. Pawan Kalyan set up his ‘Jana Sena’ with active funding from PVP, and then went about asking people to vote for CBN. The move worked and people of Pawan’s community voted for the TDP and Naidu became CM. Thus, with one move, Naidu realized two objectives: Becoming the CM and completely sidelining NTR Jr.

Now, there is absolutely no way Pawan Kalyan is going to take a stance hostile to CBN. He is here not to question but to obey! And sad but true, Pawan Kalyan has nowhere even half the political intelligence required to take on CBN.

The minute, Naidu feels Pawan is a liability, that is the end of Pawan Kalyan’s political relevance in AP.
