Here is a news which will send shivers down the spine for all the big movie makers. The censor board had framed a rule which could hamper the huge amounts they get in selling the TV rights of their movies in advance. Going in to detail, very soon, any new film that originally had an ‘A’ certificate will not be telecast on the small screen at all.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) had decided to stop re-certifying A-rated films for TV, thereby making them ineligible for television screening. Currently, in accordance with 1952 Cinematograph Act, No Movie with A certificate can be screened on TV. Till now, the Board had been re-certifying the A-rated films before they are telecast in TV making them eligible for TV viewing.
