It looks like AP CM designate Chandrababu Naidu has finalized his team to run the new state. Sources say that I V Subba Rao will be the first Chief Secretary of residuary AP while former chief secretary SV Prasad is expected to be advisor to Naidu.
And he will be given cabinet status. Subba Rao will be relieved by his current employer Unicef before June 2 whereas the current Director General of Police B Prasada Rao will also be the DGP of new AP and his new intelligence chief will most likely be M Malakondaiah.
1984 batch IAS officer Ajay Prakash Sawhney is being chosen as principal secretary to the chief minister in Naidu’s CMO who will be assisted by Aramane Giridhar and G Sai Prasad.
A team of other retired officers like P Krishnaiah and S Balasubramanyam are also being brought back. They will be part of a team that will be looking after issues related to governance while Indian Information Service officer A A Rao, who was earlier Naidu’s OSD in Delhi will most likely be the press secretary.
