It’s common knowledge that cyclonic storm Hudud has devastated the coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh – Visakhapatnam, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and East Godavari districst. According to reports, the loss incurred due to Hudhud for property, roads, households and lives is estimated at around Rs 10,000 Crore. Although State government is yet to estimate the total damage, it is widely reported that loss would be around Rs 10,000 crore. Meanwhile, Central government is assured to do necessary help, but we hear that Union government would grant only Rs 2000 Crore where the remaining loss should have to be incurred by the state government.

In order to cope up with the heavy loss, Naidu has requested people, firms, organizations to donate to Hudhud relief measures. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has tweeted, “You can help us and donate for relief to SBI a/c: 33913634404. IFSC Code: SBIN0002724, Branch: SBI Treasury Branch, Gowliguda, Hyderabad.”
“If you want to send us cheque, write to Deputy Secretary, Revenue Department, L-Block, AP Secretariat, Hyderabad,” Babu wrote in another tweet.
