Actor-Rajahmundry MP Murali Mohan’s car was attacked by YSR Congress party workers today near Devarapalli Mandal of West Godavri district. The unfortunate incident took place after Murali Mohan visited the Mandal of following complaints of malpractices by YRCP leaders in its Mandal Parishad elections.
The local leader of YSR Congress reportedly influenced a TDP MPTC into their party which resulted in war of words between both party leaders in the mandal. This led to chaos and leaders of both parties brush off each other in which TDP lady MPTC was injured. With this TDP leaders demanded for the postponement of election in the mandal. Knowing about this, Murali Mohan rushed to spot and spoke to government officials and asked them to postpone the election as per the rules. After speaking to district collector, authorities have postponed the elections this don’t go well with YSRCP leaders.
On his return from Devurapalli mandal, YSRCP leaders attacked Murali Mohan’s car in which he was travelling. Luckily, Murali Mohan escaped without any injuries but his car was damaged. It’s sad that muzzle politics and money politics is taking over democratic politics. Looks like, YSRCP has learnt no lessons even after sound defeat.
