All eyes are on 61st Filmfare awards that will be awarded on July 12th and mainly the ‘Best Film’ award in Telugu category is very interesting this time. Already people started discussion at lunch tables and conference halls about the possible flick that could bag the Black Lady.
If we look at the nominations, Pawan-Trivikram’s Attarintiki Daredi, Mahesh-Venky-Srikanth Addala’s Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, Prabhas-Koratala Siva’s Mirchi, Nitin-Vijay Kumar’s Gundejari Gallantayyinde and Avika Gor-Virinchi Varma’s Uyyala Jampala are in the race. Definitely it will be a tough call to pick the best among these movies.
Pawan’s AD created a master sort of records by standing tall as an industry hit. And this movie is not any masala-flick but a complete family entertainer with story revolving around concept of family and relations. Mahesh-Venky’s SVSC too deals heavily with family relations and especially affection between two brothers. These two films might bring more votes from many cinema lovers for being big entertainers.
But we cannot rule out a small movie like Uyyala Jampala too, which is simply fresh and cute. At the same time Nitin’s Gundejari is also a stunner for its entertaining love story sans regular mass dose. Prabhas Mirchi seems to be the odd pick, though it has a touch of sentiments its more faction and action.
Let’s look forward to July 12th to find out who will stand out as winner, which will be decided by Filmfare jury. Hope the best will win.
