Lately Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘Bahubali’ is in news not for its content or for the updates of its shooting schedules but for the records it is creating in business circles. The shooting of the film isn’t wrapped up yet. Rajamouli is still canning the film with all the star cast. But the film is creating sensation in business circles for the whooping sum it is being grabbed by the distributors of different areas. Earlier it was noted that, Karnataka area rights were sold out for Rs.9 crores while Ceded for Rs.13 crores. And if the figures aren’t enough, here entered Dil Raju grabbing the rights for Nizam area for Rs.25 crores.
To tell you the truth, these are the amounts only for the first part of ‘Bahubali’. If the overall budget of the two parts of the film is around 175 crores, one can guess what business the second part could easily do if ‘Babubali’ part 1 goes to score a record success at the box-office. The humoungous figures suggest that both ‘Bahubali’ team and the cine circles are confident about the success of the film going by the previous record of Rajamouli who never tasted failure till date. Both Shobhu Yarlagadda and Devineni Prasad of Arka Media Works are literally seeing their money spent, raining back to them.
