Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who visited Visakhapatnam on Tuesday, announced Rs 1000 Crore rupees as adhoc relief to Andhra Pradesh governments towards rehabilitation work in the affected region of cyclone Hudhud. Modi said that Union Government would stand by the victims of Hudhud and people of Vizag. He announced an exgratia of Rs 2 Lakh for the families of lost ones and Rs 50,000 for injured.
Modi said that State government and Central government have jointly worked together during the catastrophe and relief measures. Earlier in the day, Modi oversee the affected regions through aerial view. Modi reiterated that he is committed to make Visakhapatnam as a Smart-City. Modi also assured all sorts of help to reinstate normalcy in the region.
