Some trade insiders shared that ‘Manam’ is getting somewhere between 7.5-8 Crores from Gemini TV in the form of satellite rights. But this figure is nowhere an astronomical sum when compared with movies like Attarintiki Daredi and 1-Nenokkadine. With Akkineni family’s Manam being a blockbuster, what is the reason that is persuading media houses to pay low for the flick? Read this story.
Irrespective of the box-office success of Pawan and Mahesh’s movies, they are sold out for a high price prior to release. Pawan’s AD managed to bag around 9 crores while 1-Nenokkadine was given a whopping sum of 12.5 crores by Gemini TV as they received couple of other flicks as a package with Mahesh’s movie. And coming to ‘Manam’, this flick happens to be another blockbuster on its way in Tollywood for 2014 and is likely to end up as another biggest share getter. However, an offering of 7 crores is quite low when compared with the presence of biggies like ANR, Nagarjuna and Chaitu in the same flick, say trade experts. So, why is ‘Manam’ not getting such a price?
Many say that the charisma of Pawan and Mahesh should not be compared with any other hero or movie. Those both are in the league of their own and airing of their age old movies are also getting huge TRPs at the moment. That is why AD and 1-Nenokkadine have got quite a hefty sum but ‘Manam’ is getting something really reasonable and better.
