Direction and story-telling don’t have any language or regional barriers, but still one needs to understand the nativity to make a better film. By doing such a wonderful stuff this man saved face of Tollywood now at national level, as money-spinning Telugu blockbusters are of no use at awards.

He is none other than scriptwriter, producer and director Rajesh Touchriver who made a movie like ‘Na Bangaaru Talli’. At the 61st National Feature Film Awards, this Telugu movie won three prestigious awards including Best Film (Telugu), Best Background Score and a special mention award for actress Anjali Patil. Last year ‘Eega’ won Best Telugu Film award and if you could remember there are not even awards for Telugu flicks in 2009, 2010, 2011. This is due to lack of any best film from Tollywood which got nice storytelling and attention grabbing subject.

Last year it is Rajamouli and this year it is Rajesh Touchriver who saved Tollywood by deliver one best film, and let’s hope this streak will continue every coming year. Not just films that mint only money at box office, movies should also be made to win awards too. Hope Tollywood realizes this.
