Superstar Mahesh and Mega Powerstar Ram Charan are the two biggest box-office spinners at the moment other than Powerstar Pawan Kalyan. And surprisingly, Mahesh and Charan became two titans who clash frequently. This time, they have timed their releases with a couple of weeks back, but still it is their third consecutive ‘war’ at box office.
Earlier Mahesh and Charan locked horns at box office for two consecutive Sankranthi seasons, once with Seethamma Vaakitlo and Naayak, and another time with 1-Nenokkadine and Yevadu. During their first clash, Mahesh’s movie won accolades but Charan’s mass flick garnered fantastic box office collections. Surely he got edge over Mahesh then. And during their second installment, as 1-Nenokkadine biting dust big time, Charan’s Yevadu became the only option for entertainment seeking movie lovers. It could be concluded that Charan overtook his senior by miles on both occasions. Here comes their third combat at box office with ‘Aagadu’ and ‘Govindudu Andarivadele’.
Mahesh and Charan have estimated something new, and delivered something very old, leaving audiences in split tastes. While Mahesh overloaded his flick with ‘huge’ mass content that missed logic by all possible formulae, Charan preferred a cool-family movie with no big entertainment quotient. This led to little worry among distributors of the flicks. Superstar’s investors might lose half of their pennies, while Mega heir will just push them to shore with face saving recovery. As Charan minimized the loss, should we now say that he is victorious over his prime-competitor for third time too?
