The highly anticipated Mani Ratnam film that was to star Mahesh Babu with Nagarjuna, has hits the headlines again.The bilingual project was announced couple of months ago, and the ace director managed to pull of a casting coup of sorts by roping in Mahesh, Nagarjuna and Aishwariya Rai.
But all of sudden things got changed and it was speculated that project was shelved.Buzz says, Mahesh Babu is not interested to do a film with Mani Ratnam after the failure of 1-Nenokkadine, as the actor feels that he needs to concentrate more on commercial films at the moment. Otherside Nagarjuna who was initially excited to do the role, has said to be walked out of the film citing “reservations” over the script.
As there is no official announcement made from unit or ManI ratnam many thought that project was no more alive.But here comes surprising statement from prince Mahesh.
Mahesh Babu has clarified that he has not walked out of the film and further says the dates are being worked out and they plan to start shooting soon.
“Mani Ratnam project is very much on. Since I’m busy with multiple projects, my dates are being work out. There will be more clarity on this project when the official announcement will be made,” Mahesh Babu told According to source the film is expected to go on floors soon.This will be Mahesh’s first film with Mani Ratnam.
