Seems there will be no stoppage for Narendra Modi led BJP.The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will emerge as the single-largest party in Maharashtra assembly elections and the ruling Congress will receive another jolt, according to two exit polls on Wednesday, while another survey predicted a clean sweep by the saffron party.
BJP was today projected in exit polls to emerge as the largest party in Maharashtra.The Congress and NCP were projected to lose heavily while Shiv Sena was predicted to emerge as the second largest party. The C-Voter survey predicts BJP to win 129 seats in Maharashtra, 16 short of the magic figure. It predicts that Shiv Sena will win 56, Congress 43, NCP 36 and MNS will get a paltry 12 seats.
According to a survey done by ABPNews – AC Nielsen, BJP and its allies are set to get 127 seats. Shiv Sena will come in the second spot with 77 seats, Congress down to 40 and NCP is projected only to get 34 seats. Today’s Chanakya, who almost correctly predicted the result of the last Lok Sabha elections, has predicted clear majority for BJP in Maharashtra.
They are predicting BJP to get between 143-161 seats, Shiv Sena may get between 62 and 80 seats. Modi had campaigned extensively for the state elections, addressing 27 rallies in Maharashtra.He urged voters to hand the BJP a clear majority for better governance and faster development.This will be a big achievement for Modi.
