During the run-up to the elections, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandra Babu Naidu promised that he would turn Seemandhra into Swarnandhra. Accordingly, he made numerous promises and literally created an illusion of creating heaven on earth. But three months later, things are totally different.
The confusion is such that they are dreading their future and the future of the newly carved out state. Now, Babu has completed 100 days in office. But in terms of his achievements, he has nothing concrete to show to people of 13 districts.
In fact, his most popular promise of loan waivers hasn’t been resolved till now. Also, though Babu had announced that the new capital will be around/ near Vijayawada, he hasn’t identified a particular place as yet. If one looks at the fact sheet, Babu has failed to keep any of his promises. Barring increasing the retirement age of state government employees, Babu hasn’t fulfilled any of his promises.
Despite having nothing to talk of after 100 days in office, Babu continues to leak stories to media about his grandiose plans for Andhra Pradesh. To please the galleries, he announced a road map costing about Rs 25,00,000 crores for the development of Andhra Pradesh. But the people of Andhra are now worried about Babu’s tall promises as they have realized that he neither has the resources nor the strategy to fulfill his promises.
