Andhra Pradesh CM Chandra Babu Naidu already announced that the new capital for the state would be on the either side of river Krishna. Andhra Pradesh Government is planning to expand VGTM and make Vijayawada and Guntur as twin cities just in the lines of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. According to the latest Chandra Babu is planning to erect a huge statue of Viswa Vikhyata Nata Sarvabhowma NTR on newly constructed two bridges over Krishna River.

Government is keen to increase navigation between Guntur and Vijaywada and the two bridges will facilitate people to reach Gannavaram airport in 40 minutes. McKinsey suggested to build the bridges in ‘X’ shape over krishna river. Statue of NTR will be welcoming people to the capital as Budha Statue is doing at Hussain Sagar in Hyderabad.
