TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu might have suffered a set back with the exodus of his dissident MLAs and senior leaders from TDP to incumbent TRS, but that didn’t deter him. Hours after Greater Hyderabad TDP president and Sanathnagar MLA Talasani Srinivas Yadav quit TDP, Chandrababu announced the new president.
Former Labour minister C. Krishna Yadav is going to replace Talasani and will be the new Greater Hyderabad TDP president. Krishna Yadav joined as ordinary party worker in 1985 and was elected thrice from Himayatnagar assembly constituency in Hyderabad. He was later expelled from the party when he was charged with corruption charges.
He was rejoined into party after no major criminal cases were against him. He’s seen as arch rival to Talasani and now with Talasani calling it quits, Naidu brought Krishna Yadav to the fore. Ahead of GHMC elections in November, this is certainly a challenging situation for TDP.
