With only single day left for the bifurcation of India’s first linguistic state Andhra Pradesh, June 2, one person from Seemandhra has been missing in action. It is none other than United AP’s last Chief Minister and Jai Samaikyandhra Party chief Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy. He is the man who was seen as champion of united Andhra Pradesh for his brave revolt, defiance against his own Congress party when he was CM. Kiran is the one who exactly predicted that bifurcation of AP will be “death blow” to Congress both in AP, Telangana and told that it holds “Zero” electoral prospects. All have come true in 2014 elections. Congress paid its hefty price and lost miserably in both AP, TG.
Now where is the man Kiran Kumar Reddy? After recent poll debacle in which his Jai Samaikyandhra Party failed to open its tally, including in Piler where his own brother Kishore Reddy lost, Kiran didn’t face media and hasn’t uttered a single word for his defeat. While parties like YSRCP are all set to do postmortem for their loss in elections, Kiran is seen no where. Speculation is rife that Kiran may turn into Political Sanyas very soon like his colleague Lagadapati Rajagopal. Going by sources, Kiran has already shifted his makaan to Bangalore. He reportedly shifted his base to a richly-located area in Bangalore where majority of Telugus live. His children too based out in Bangalore now and studying from there. Neighbours of Kiran Kumar Reddy are said to be surprised to see him in the locales. Many spotted Kiran sitting in balcony and flipping through newspapers. Looks like, Kiran wants to lead a peaceful life away from politics.
