Andhra Pradesh CM Kiran Kumar Reddy reportedly raised the bogey of terrorism and Naxal issue during his meeting with Group of Ministers today. Kiran addressed the media as soon as he completed his meeting with the GoM today.
Kiran reportedly said he made it very clear to the Centre appointed committee that AP cannot be bifurcated and explained the benefits of keeping AP United and the drawbacks if AP is bifurcated. He has come out with some logical analysis on why he wants the state to be united. Kiran said Hyderabad was not at all an issue during 1969 Telangana agitation or 1972 Jai Andhra movement but now he stated Hyderabad has become the second biggest target of terrorists in India after Kashmir.
Kiran reportedly made a very strong pitch for keeping AP united and in this regard he has given two book sized documents with evidence to the GoM. It has to be now seen whether his views will be given any prominence of was this only a mere eye wash.
