With Telangana Rashtra Samithi announcing its list of 7 candidates for Lok Sabha seats, TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao made an interesting move. KCR has given up his present Mahabub Nagar Lok Sabha constituency which he won the seat in the 2009 bye-election.
After Congress party led UPA has agreed to bifurcate and divided the state honouring Telangana sentiment, political equations swiftly changed in TRS. KCR is said to be eyeing on assembly segment rather going to parliament. KCR on Friday announced list of candidates for 7 Lok Sabha segments including Mahabub Nagar where he is fielding Jitender Reddy. With that it is clear that KCR has given up his parliament seat and wants to focus on state politics.
Earlier KCR was four-time MLA from Siddipet between 1985 and 1999 on TDP ticket. He is now contesting from Gajwel Assembly constituency in Medak district as KCR has big plans to play significant role in State politics. It is visibly clear that KCR wants to become first Chief Minister of Telangana State. Let’s wait and watch.
