Telangana CM-in-waiting KCR is reportedly unwilling to bear expenditure of Seemandhra offices which will continue to exist in Telangana after June 2. The issue reportedly came to light during a power-point presentation recently by Chief Secretary P.K. Mohanty.
It is heard that KCR reportedly objected saying it would cause a huge financial burden on Telangana government. KCR reportedly informed that CS that he would take up the issue with the Governor and the Centre.
All the existing offices in the city of Hyderabad, including the AP Secretariat, will be serving both the states in addition to ministers’ quarters, MLAs, IAS and IPS officers. But sources say that operational and maintenance costs have a different aspect.
Segments such as power, water and other charges will have to be borne by the Telangana government since they are registered under it and also there is no provision in the AP Reorganisation Bill-2014 regarding sharing the expenditure incurred for running AP government in Hyderabad by Telangana government.
