Fixing 1956 as the base year to determine the nativity of students eligible for Engineering College admissions for fee reimbursement, KCR questioned Andhra Pradesh government to reimburse the fees of Andhra students from their exchequer.
“When you are speaking about building the new capital for Andhra Pradesh with one and half lakh crore rupees, why can’t you pay fees of your own students,” KCR asked.
These words did not go well with Andhra Pradesh HRD Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao who expressed frustration on Telangana Chief Minister KCR on fee reimbursement issue which has put lakhs of students’ future in question. Ganta accused K Chandrasekhara Rao of creating a constitutional crisis on the fee reimbursement issue.
“KCR is deliberately creating the crisis by stretching the issue of nativity. He is still speaking in the agitation tone by raising the issue of local and non-local. KCR needs to review his stand on nativity as it might affect the lives of thousands of students,” Ganta said in retort to satirical comments made by KCR yesterday.
