KCR Plans Forest college in Gajwel

Telangana Government plans to set up a Forest college to impart knowledge and training in environment protection, tree plantation, forest products and also protection of tribal culture and folk arts in the state, says T chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

he said that the forest college will come up in Gajwel constituency in Medak district as a subsidiary of the Acharya Prof Jayashankar Agriculture University on the lines of the one set up byTamilnadu Govt at Mettupalyam. Nursery raising, protection of forest lands and wild flora fauna forest products and also tribal culture will be party of the curriculum and also a breeding ground for IFS cadres,

Rao an ardent farmer himself has been raising yellow capcicum with advanced agricultural inputs and equipment at his farm house over 50 acres near Gajwel. ‘With scientific studies a farmer can raise commercial crops and earn Rs. One crore per annum ‘ Rao says.
