It is now clear that the Telangana CM who hastily agreed for the passage of the AP Reorganization Act in parliament in February, now is raising objections on one and each of the sections Act. Chronology of events show that KCR has done his chameleon act once again.
Because he felt that the congress would be in power after elections he had made all pacts with the party in February. But after UPA got the bill passed in parliament. KCR had resisted not only merger but also electoral alliance with Congress.
Now he has been preparing ground to blame it all on Congress and Sonia Gandhi for the hasty passage of the bill and wants the NDA to set right the anomalies in the Act as per his and T govt’s convenience.
Andhra Pradesh Government has once again appealed to Telangana government to stop taking unilateral decisions and fight on different forums and instead to come for ‘dialogue’ and sit across table to sort out differences if any.
AP finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said after a marathon three hour cabinet meeting that instead of dialogue the Telangana govt and its CM K Chandrasekhar Rao and his colleagues are taking a direct hostile posture against both Centre, AP govt and even the office of Governor.
Yanamala said the center and state were just want the implementation of the Act as it was endorsed by the parliament hardly six months ago and the TRS party and KCR had hailed the Act ‘god send’ and its perpetrators Sonia Gandhi as ‘Devata’. while the TDP had opposed many portions of the Act which were detrimental to the people of Seemandhra.
He said the Telangana govt and the CM KCR were raising objections and contesting basic issues which were part of the AP R Act – ANGRAU issue, tuition fee reimbursement, Polavaram, nativity, Governors powers, ‘All these were embedded in the Act which were endorsed by the TRS and the UPA-2 in spite of our protests but were now crying wolf.
