After the new camp office which is to be inaugurated next month, Telangana Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao concentrated on the construction of a unique new Secretariat reflecting Telangana culture and Kakatiya dynasty and forts.
The new Secretariat is coming up in the existing Secretariat where all the building will be razed down before the start of construction.
According to preliminary designs, the main building will be designed in a ‘dome’ shape reflecting Telangana culture and Kakatiya dynasty. Each floor will have 80,000 sqft space. Around six floors will come up in a single block.
The designs prepared by the noted architect Hafeez Contractor will be placed before the Telangana State government’s architect and vastu expert Suddala Sudhkar Teja. The new complex is coming up on the around 22 acres of land available in the old Secretariat.
The Chief Minister’s Office will have video-conference facility and meeting hall. Of the two 22 acres, two acres will be meant for the Secretariat building. In the remaining space, a huge parking complex is being planned.
