Sources say that stunning electoral success of the Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi is motivating many bigwigs in the state right from politicians to entrepreneurs and bureaucrats who are all set to launch political parties.
Apart from TDP leader and entrepreneur Palem Srikanth Reddy who is reportedly planning to launch his own party, sources say Maharashtra cadre IPS officer and former state CBI director J D Lakshminarayana is planning to launch a new party or join AAP! This also reportedly includes Lok Satta president Jayaprakash Narayan, who is trying to make his party act the AP unit of Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP.
In the case of Lakshminarayana, the top cop who handled several high profile cases while in AP such as Satyam scam, Jagan assets, Emaar and illegal mining, the Maharashtra government seems to have instigated him to float a political party by not giving him a posting ever since he completed his CBI deputation in AP in June last year. Lakshminarayana is associating himself with an NGO for last few months and addressed the youth in colleges, schools and clubs across the state including Vijayawada, Kakinada and Amalapuram and sources say he has already met Kejriwal and actor Pawan Kalyan.
