A special court in Bangalore sentenced Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa and her three associates namely N Sasikalaa, J Elavarasi and V N Sudhakaran to 4 years in Jail in connection with the Rs 66.65 crore disproportionate assets case.

The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 100 crore on Jayalalithaa and Rs 10 crore each on her associates. Jayalalithaa will have to quit as MLA and CM immediately. Sadly, She is also disqualified from public office for the next 6 years. She would be taken to prison within the next few hours.

Jayalalithaa would have used the option of seeking bail if the jail term is less than 3 years. With this judgement, 18 Years Disproportionate Case has come to an end.

Violence erupted in Tamil Nadu with AIADMK Activists have launching protests in different ways from burning effigies, blocking roads, pelting stones and what not. Wish Jaya’s men realize such acts don’t change the verdict!
