YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy was reportedly non-committal on Friday, when the Telangana leaders of the party asked him to en-trust responsibility of strengthening the party in this region to Jagan’s sister Sharmila Reddy. However, Jagan reportedly said that the existing arrangement of party where Khammam MP Ponguleti Srinivasula Reddy is currently the adhoc committee convenor will be continuing, and Sharmila may be asked to take part in major programmes.
Jagan Mohan Reddy organized the 11-member adhoc state committee for the new region of Telangana, where some of the leaders frankly told Jagan that in case he is really interested in strengthening YSRCP, it would be better that he ropes in Sharmila Reddy. Jagan reportedly told the Telangana leaders that he could request Sharmila to attend if they can indeed plan for a programme.
However, the leaders reportedly told him that if there is a dedicated leader like Sharmila Reddy, then they can be confident. Again Jagan had no answer why he can’t allocate her for TS.
