Kadapa district is considered to be undefeatable forte for YS Jagan and his YSR Congress party. But Telugudesam has sprung a surprise by proving that even rural voters love to travel with ‘Cycle’ like their urban counterparts.

There are 7 municipalities in Kadapa District on a whole and Telugudesam party has won 4 among them. While Jagan led YSR Congress grabbed Pulivendula, Rayachoti and Erragunta municipalities, Telugudesam stormed to a win in Badvel, Maidukuru, Proddutru and Jammalamadugu. How come a red-hot forte like Kadapa district that always proved to be waving its flag for ‘fan’ has lost 4 municipalities to TDP?

Had these poll-results are out before the recently wrapped up general elections, definitely many more voters have turned towards Telugudesam party, say political analysts.
