Jagan Reddy is ostensibly shameless despite facing 16-month-odd jail term and still battling with umpteen corruption charges and CBI has strong evidences against him. He just walked out on bail after reportedly compromising with UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and fielded himself in political fray. Jagan’s strategy is pretty simple. He wants to become CM only to safeguard his properties, empire that he built through corruption, and may be he want to earn few more as he is out of power ever since his father-late CM Rajasekhar Reddy passed away. And Jagan has no qualms in tying up with Congress post elections.
Definitely, Jagan Reddy is special and worst case in India’s political history. Perhaps, no one in Indian history has amassed that much of money in such a short span. Even official figures of Jagan’s assets do raises one’s eyebrows and gasp. As per the affidavit submitted by Jagan to Election Commission in 2009, he possessed Rs 79 Crore. That’s the first election Jagan contested as Kadapa MP. Taking whole India by storm, during 2011 by-elections, Jagan’s assets shot up to Rs 445 Crore. Not long ago ED has attached his Rs 863 crore properties. And we’re told that he has many more properties. Even behemoths like Ambani, Mittal, Birla would not have seen such steep rise in their business. And everyone knows the secret- Y.S Rajasekhar Reddy- behind Jagan’s over-night success.
The irony of Indian politics is that still few people, celebs, leaders back corrupt people like Jagan for their own political benefits. Voting Jagan to power would be most dangerous to Indian democracy, opine political analysts and social activists. It’s time for people to take final call as no one can’t put their lives, their family future at stake. What say folks?
