Late YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s daughter YS Sharmila has been facing opposition within her own family as her brother-YSRC Party chief Jagan Mohan Reddy is not willing to field her into electoral fray. According to reliable sources, Jagan don’t want Sharmila to contest in upcoming elections. Jagan is of the opinion that Sharmila’s fame as new power centre in YSRCP may dampen his chances in years to come.
Earlier Jagan wanted to contest for Lok Sabha and contemplated to field Sharmila for Assembly constituency. Contrary to it, Jagan had change of mind. As per the latest plan of action, Jagan eyeing Assembly constituency and he wants Sharmila limited to poll campaign.
Jagan is not interested to send Sharmila to Parliament as he is afraid that Sharmila may steal the limelight as YSR scion in national media if she is send to Parliament, say political observers. Sharmila, who is opposed to Jagan’s plans, is claiming credit for her Maro Praja Prasthanam yatra and demanding Kadapa Lok Sabha ticket from her brother which didn’t go well with Jagan. This is perhaps the reason Sharmila is deeply upset with Jagan and party despite working very hard for party during tough times. Whereas YS Vijayamma turned out to be mute spectator for Jagan’s acts.
Jagan Reddy wants to cover up the issue claiming that Sharmila is busy raising up her children and looking after her family so that she may not contest this elections. Stuck with family feuds, Jagan is going to be big looser, predict analysts. Let’s wait and see for public opinion.
