Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is known to be a patriot and BJP, which lectures everyone on patriotism is ruling India. However even in these circumstances Kashmir was missing from the Indian map displayed by Queensland University of Technology (QUT), when PM Modi visited the institute.
This triggered vociferous protest from Sujatha Singh, India’s foreign secretary to Australia. Syed Akbaruddin, External Affairs ministry spokesperson, later revealed that the organisers tendered unconditional and unqualified apology after India protested strongly. PM Modi known as a workaholic headed to QUT within hours of his arrival from Myanmar. Modi is on five day trip to Australia and this is first by Indian PM in 28 years after Rajiv Gandhi.
